College Bound offers a user-friendly and informative platform that helps students make informed decisions about their higher education. With its comprehensive features, the app helps students stay on track and achieve academic success while also reducing the administrative burden on academic institutions.
Road Map
The roadmap feature allows students to explore different paths to graduation based on the experiences of other students. To use this feature, a student would simply input their major, concentration, and current program (2-year or 4-year). The app then generates a list of various roadmaps that other students have followed to graduate on time. For instance, a student studying Business Administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship can use this feature to explore various options and determine the best course of action to achieve their academic goals.
Degree plan
The degree plan feature of the College Bound mobile application helps students understand the required courses for their major and concentration, including any General Education requirements for 4-year programs. After selecting and saving their approved major and concentration, students can easily determine the elective courses they need by browsing the course catalog. This feature essentially simplifies the current degree plan that is on the MySJSU platform.
Degree Tracker
Using the roadmap and degree plan features of the College Bound mobile application, students can forecast their expected graduation term by inputting their planned course schedule for each term. They can access up to 8 or 16 terms, depending on their program, and add or modify courses until they officially enroll through their enrollment portal. What makes this feature so special is the flexibility associated with changing and moving courses into different terms. Let’s say a student decides to take 12 units in the fall semester at first, but then they realize that if they take 15 semesters in the spring, they will only need to enroll in two classes the following year before meeting graduation requirements.
Course catalog
The course catalog feature enables users to view the courses offered by their school for a specific term. This information is published by the school and then uploaded onto the app, allowing students to easily determine which classes they should take based on the days and times the courses are being offered. By utilizing this feature, students can plan their schedules efficiently and ensure that they are taking the courses they need to achieve their academic goals.
Calendar
The internal calendar feature is an incredibly useful tool that provides a variety of benefits to its users. With this feature, students can effortlessly stay up to date with all the club activities, events, meetings, and important dates. By simply inputting reminders into the calendar, students can rest assured that they won't forget any important deadlines or events. The interface is designed to be user-friendly, making it easy for students to view their schedules and plan their days accordingly. The feature operates just like a traditional calendar, providing simple and accessible navigation.

The to-do list app feature is a game-changer when it comes to managing tasks and activities on the go. With this feature, users can effortlessly create, manage, and track their to-do lists directly from their mobile devices. The user-friendly interface allows users to add, delete, or update items on the list with ease, making it simple to stay organized and on top of their priorities. Marco Diaz-Perez | Founder & CEO
Meet Marco, a dedicated entrepreneur, and leader with a unique background. As a former California Army National Guard member, Marco has experience overseeing food bank operations during civil unrest and fighting wildfires during the 2021 California Wildfire season. In addition to his full-time job at Apple, Marco has earned two associate degrees in business administration and economics, showcasing his commitment to personal and professional growth. With experience in B2B sales, graphic design, and marketing, and currently serving as the President of the Veteran Student Organization of San Jose State University, Marco is a natural leader passionate about helping others succeed.
